Reservation and Booking Process

Yes please. All guests need to make a reservation with full payment before the activity. You can make a reservation online here. We will try to accommodate walk-ins based on availability, but it is typically easier to reserve a spot online or to give us a call before arriving at the office.
You can make an online reservation through our website here. You can book online at any time! You can also call our office at (614) 847-9477 and a staff person can help you make a reservation over the phone. Our office hours are listed here. If no one is available to take your call, leave a voicemail and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
The further in advance you book, the more options will be available to you! It is typically best to make a reservation at least a few days ahead to ensure you are able to get the date and time you prefer. You may be able to make same day reservations based on availability.
We do require full payment in order to make a reservation. Please see our cancellation policy for more information.
For groups larger than 15 people (or larger than 8 people for zip tours), you can call our office at (614) 847-9477 and one of our group booking agents can help you out and answer any question and go over details to help plan your adventure.
We love Ohio but depending on the day we may or may not love the weather. Ohio weather is very hard to predict so we tend to make the call as close to the start time for your reservation as possible. We do run activities in light to moderate rain and because of this, we like to compare zipping to golf. If people would keep golfing in the weather, we will keep zipping. We encourage everyone to dress appropriately for the weather, and we can provide ponchos for you in the office (for no additional charge). In cases of extreme weather, like storms, high winds, or heavy rain, we will contact you about cancelling your reservation.

ZipZone Outdoor Adventures does not provide refunds if a guest would like to cancel due to weather. If you are concerned about the forecast for the day of your tour, you can utilize your one-time move at least 48-hours ahead of your scheduled reservation.
If you do not have a credit card or do have a credit card but do not wish to book online, you can always stop by our office and make a reservation in-person with a cash payment.
All of our activities have set start times that you can reserve for one person. For the Adventure Park, you can book a reservation for any time for just yourself. For our Zip Line tours you can make a reservation for just yourself, but we do need at least 3 people to be booked for the tour in order for the tour to run. If you are booking by yourself, or as 2 people, try to make a reservation for a tour time where others have already booked to ensure your tour will run as scheduled. If you have any questions, give us a call!
Yes! If you wish to purchase a gift certificate, you can do so here through our website. If you would like assistance purchasing, please call our office at (614) 847-9477. All gift certificates are sent via email. Gift certificates are transferable to any person. The cash value paid for gift certificates never expires and can be applied to any activity. Gift certificates need to be used all at once and the balance cannot be carried over.
  • All reservations require payment in full at the time of booking.
  • Reservations canceled more than 72 hours (3 days) in advance of the reservation time can be issued a refund minus the 4% booking fee.
  • Reservations canceled less than 72 hours (3 days) in advance of the reservation time are NOT eligible for a refund.
    • We do allow a ONE time change to the date and/or time of your reservation with at least 48 hours (2 days) notice.
    • Please note that your reservation is completely transferable, so you can give it or sell it to someone else if you can’t make it.
ZipZone reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather, unforeseeable hazards, or events beyond our control. In these events, we will do our best to rebook your visit immediately, provide a voucher for you to reschedule for another time, or a refund as appropriate.
Guests are advised to arrive 20 minutes before the scheduled time. If you arrive late for your reservation, there is no guarantee that we will be able to catch you up with instruction and gear-up in time to participate in your activity. For zip line tours, your guides and the rest of the tour will be leaving on time whether you are there or not, and our Adventure Park and Kids Park instruction will start with or without you. We will not issue any refunds if you show up late and miss your activity. If you fail to meet your reserved time, please understand, we still incur all the same expenses, and may have turned others away. If it is possible to accommodate your group upon late arrival, we reserve the right to charge a 15% re-booking fee.

Participant Requirements

Our Adventure Park and Zip Line Tours offer activities for ages 7 and up and our Kids Park offers activities for ages 4-7. Ages 4-11 must be supervised by an adult at all times. For all minors 15 & younger an adult must remain onsite during the activity.
The maximum allowable weight for all activities is 270 lbs. In order to participate in the Canopy or Zip Rush Tours, riders must be a minimum 50 lbs. and can weigh no more than 270 lbs. For the Adventure Park, there is no minimum required weight and the maximum allowable weight is 270 lbs. Every guest will be weighed at check-in, so this weight is with your clothes and shoes on! This restriction is put in place based on the speed of the zip lines, not the amount of weight the cables can hold. On the zip line tours, we are able to accommodate riders as light as 50 lbs. utilizing our tandem zip line system on certain lines (typically 1 or 2 of the longer lines, the other zips the rider can go on their own).
Please visit our Participant Requirement page for more information.

We are committed to making our tour as accessible as possible to our participants. While there are certain restrictions that have been put in place to protect the public, we are often able to accommodate individuals outside of these parameters with advanced notice and approval by the Manager.
In order to ensure the safety of all guests and to provide a quality experience for everyone visiting our location, all age and weight restrictions must be followed. Individuals who do not weigh at least 50 lbs. when weighed at check-in on our scale will not be permitted on a zip line tour. Weights will not be allowed on the tour.
In order to ensure the safety of all guests and to provide a quality experience for everyone visiting our location, all age and weight restrictions must be followed. The age that appears on a guest’s required waiver is what will be used to determine eligibility for all activities.

Preparing for my Adventures

Yes, all guests who are participating in one of our activities must have a current waiver on file. A new waiver needs to be filled out for every guest at the start of each new season. Guests under the age of 18 will need a guardian’s signature before zipping or climbing. We prefer the waivers be signed ahead of time by clicking on the link to your customer terminal in your confirmation email. Waivers can also be filled out using the link at the bottom of our website.

Some courses do require an adult to accompany kids of a certain age (for more info click here. Ages 12-15 need to have an adult on the property at all times.

Adults supervising in the Kids Park will be walking along on the ground next to their climber. You will not need to climb or purchase a ticket for yourself for the Kids Park.
ZipZone operates rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather including temperatures and precipitation. In the event of severe weather, such as high winds, severe thunderstorms, or other hazardous conditions, ZipZone may choose to cancel your activity. Advance notice is typically not possible. Ohio weather is very hard to predict, so we tend to make the call as close to the reservation start time as possible. We will work with you to determine if waiting out the weather is an option. If ZipZone cancels your activity due to severe weather, you will be offered a voucher. We will evaluate the situation and can provide refunds as appropriate.
Occasionally weather might delay the start of your program. If this happens we will work with you to wait as long as appropriate, or reschedule the activity as necessary. Should severe weather occur while you are participating in one of our adventures, ZipZone may discontinue your activity. This could include anything from simply seeking shelter to having staff lower you off the course using a lowering kit. Discontinued activities are offered a full or partial voucher, based on your location on the course at time your activity was discontinued, so that you can return to ZipZone. We will evaluate the situation and can provide a refund as appropriate.
Currently we offer group zip line tours that can accommodate a maximum of 8 people. If you have a group with more than 8 people, please contact us so we can make special arrangements.

The Adventure Park can typically accommodate much larger groups. Contact us for details!
Our adventures are built following the leading standards in the industry developed by the Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). All staff have been trained to meet or exceed ACCT standards. We do everything we can to make this the best experience possible! Did we mention the cables are tested to hold 26,000 lbs?

ZipZone is a founding member of the Ohio Zip Line Association (OZLA), a group working together with the Ohio State Department of Agriculture Amusement Ride Safety Division as state regulations are developed for zip lining. One of our owners, Lori Pingle, is the President of the Board of the OZLA and is on the Zip Line/Canopy Tour committee for the ACCT. We are working hard to stay at the forefront of standards and regulations in our industry.
Tipping is entirely up to you. Our staff appreciate tips, and if you feel you received exceptional service, feel free to tip! We have found that $5-$10 per guest is an average amount for a tip. Cash and credit card tips are accepted. We also encourage you to leave a review on TripAdvisor (or Google, Yelp, etc.)! You can also fill out a comment card on-site to tell us how we are doing.
After returning from your zip line experience, photos taken during the tour will be available to view and purchase in the office. Photos are sent as a digital copy and will be emailed to you the same day for posting, printing, and sharing. The best deal is here on site where photos are $5 for the first one and $2 for each additional photo. If you are interested in photos after leaving ZipZone, they are available online and will be organized by date on our photo-sharing website. Photos purchased online are $5 each. Click here to view and purchase photos.
Yes, spectators are welcome to come along to watch and cheer on their participants! Spectators can observe the gear-up and instruction and continue to follow along to see the beginning of the activity. There are also outdoor benches and tables available for you to sit at while you wait.

In the Adventure Park, there are trails underneath most of the courses so you can follow your climbers along from the ground (and even take some great photos or video of the action!).

Spectators for the Canopy Tours can observe their participants crossing the first and second zip line, then there is about an hour before the next opportunity to see them return to the ground on the last zip line. Spectators for the Zip Rush Tour can observe participants crossing the zip lines, and completing the free fall experience or rappel at the end of the tour.
For the zip line tours, you should be prepared for some light physical activity including climbing stairs, crossing bridges, and walking short distances over uneven terrain. Adventure Park participants should be ready for moderate to high physical activity. The Adventure Park program consists of bridges, cable walkways, climbs, zips, and many elements involving balance.
There are portable toilets on-site available for guests to use. We highly encourage everyone to use the restroom before the start of your activity! On zip line tours, there is no mid-activity bathroom opportunity. For the Adventure Park all participants are required to get completely out of gear before using the restroom and this can take up valuable climbing time!
If you are on a tour or a course in the Adventure Park and you are nervous about continuing, the ZipZone staff can help to give you options to discontinue participation. Options might include being lowered to the ground using a lowering kit. We want all of our guests to feel comfortable with the activity they have chosen and accept challenges by choice.
We do not currently offer single zip line experiences. All of our zip lines are a part of a zip line tour or the Adventure Park. You must participate in a full tour or climb an entire course in the Adventure Park to access the zip lines. For more information about the activities we offer click here.
The braking system on the zip line tours is staff operated. This means that you do not need to be concerned with operating any equipment on the zip line tours. Just sit back in the harness and enjoy the experience while the staff takes care of everything else!
A Freefall experience is an optional part of our Zip Rush tour. After completing 2 zip lines you will be connected to our QUICKjump auto belay device. At this point you will step off the platform, giving the sensation of freefall for the first 15-20 feet before the auto belay system initiates and lowers you the rest of the way to the ground.
A rappel utilizing a staff operated rope lowering system to return to ground level from the platform. This is a very fun, but slower moving option on our Zip Rush Tour, or used to exit the course as needed.
